Church Activities

Boffees Coffee Shop

The Boffees coffee shop was opened in 2008 as a centre for the Bushey and Oxhey neighbourhood to pop in, enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea and meet others for a chat.

There are exhibitions held frequently in the “Meeting Point” next to Boffees – so that those visiting the exhibition can also enjoy refreshments either before or after viewing the displays.

Messy Church

Messy Church is bursting with different activities intended to draw all ages together to experience what it means to be a Christian community outside of Sunday worship. At its heart, Messy Church provides an opportunity for children to bring their parents or carers to enjoy themselves by expressing their creativity, sitting down together to eat a meal, experiencing worship and having fun within a Church context.
Messy Church is held at 3 pm to 5.30 pm on the second Sunday of every month except during the summer holidays in August. It is a shared activity between Bushey and Oxhey Methodist Church and St Matthews Anglican Church in Eastbury Road. During the summer months, Messy Church is held at St Matthews and in the winter the event takes place here at Bushey and Oxhey.

In a nutshell, Messy Church is a fresh expression of being a Church in different ways for different people and situations. Come and try it!
